International Travel Vision Board – Online Edition

The other week, I overheard some of my cube mates talking about putting together a Vision Board. I definitely understand that there are some great benefits to visualizing the things you hope to achieve. If for no other reason than to keep them at the forefront in your mind.

Today, I decided I would put together a Travel Vision Board to help remind me of the places I want to visit most! 🙂 Here are 10, in no particular order.

Hallstatt, Austria: This has been my desktop wallpaper at work for about 2 years, so it’s an easy choice. Vienna is also high on my list.

Copenhagen, Denmark: Nordic countries in general, are high on my list. Copenhagen is at the forefront though.

Budapest, Hungary: An old co-worker friend of mine visited Budapest years ago and said it was a blast. Can’t wait to get here.

Plitvice Lakes, Croatia: I’ve been to a few National Parks in the US, and they were great. This is a popular destination in Croatia, and another country I can’t wait to visit.

Bern, Switzerland: I absolutely loved Switzerland when I visited in ’09. I’m excited at the prospect of heading back and exploring more of the country.

Mont Saint Michel, France: A country with many castles and chateaus, I loved the Palace at Versailles and look forward to exploring more of the country in the future.

Lisbon, Portugal: Seeing as how I am part Portuguese, this is a relatively easy choice.

Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavarian Germany: One of many, many castles on the list for Germany. I enjoyed Berlin, but I can’t wait for Bavaria!

Transylvania, Romania: History, check. Dracula, check. Carpathian Mountains aka the home of Vigo the Carpathian from Ghostbusters II, triple check.

Lake Pukaki, New Zealand: Given our love for the Lord of the Rings franchise, this is a definite visit. Tons to see and certainly some themed tours will be planned.

Ten locations seems like a ton on a blog, but this barely scratches the surface of places I want to visit. Just spending a few minutes coming up with this entry has got me excited for travel and exploration. The passion and fire for travel burns strong, and I can’t wait to visit and write about each place on this board.

  1. Was this when you overheard me and Nikki talking about our inspiration board to be healthy?! It was around the time of this post is why I ask. Neuschwanstein castle is amazing! I believe it was this castle and Versailles that served as inspiration for the design of Cinderella’s castle. Anyway, both gorgeous! Btw, I ALMOST went to Mont St. Michel when I was in France last summer if you don’t recall. *le sigh* Some day!!!
